Claire and Jenny are both fully qualified through the B.A.T.D (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) and hold current PVG certificates and Public Liability Insurance. They continue to further develop their teaching knowledge and skills by sitting more professional exams – both Claire and Jenny are qualified to the highest level in the BATD (F.B.A.T.D.) in several dance styles. They feel strongly that their team of assistant teachers should also be as qualified as they can be and continue to promote an environment where teachers are constantly learning and developing their teaching techniques and choreography skills. Continuing to sit teaching exams in a variety of dance styles is vitally important in ensuring knowledge of the syllabus is up to date and that pupils are always taught to the highest standard.
All of this results in your child attending a dance school where teachers are highly qualified, highly skilled and most importantly LOVE what they do!!
We are committed to providing training and experience for assistant teachers at the dance school and are fortunate to have a team of extremely dedicated and hard-working assistants who help us at classes every week. Your child will get to know them too!
Jenny holds Fellowship qualifications in Cheerpom and Majorette, Membership qualifications in Stage and Freestyle and an Associate qualification in Ballet.
Jenny loves teaching the P1 class all the way up to working the senior class hard. She is an advocate of 'fairness for all' and ensures that all pupils get a chance to shine at showtime! Jenny is also Head Coach of MSD, the competitive branch of the dance school, where her flair for choreography is showcased beautifully. Her abillity to motivate pupils to work hard to achieve their goals is clearly evident in the development of the squad.
Claire holds Fellowship qualifications in Stage, Freestyle, Cheerpom and Majorette, Membership qualifications in Tap and Ballet and an Associate qualification in Highland.
Claire is a firm believer of 'practise makes perfect' and always strives to optimise students' technical standard. She loves seeing students develop their technique and style and excel at exam time! Her particular passion is in the delivery of Ballet training at all ages and levels throughout the school, and is delighted that her enthusiasm is transferring to the students. Claire is also a qualified Physiotherapist and her background knowledge of anatomy, physical movement and balance are called on regularly at class.
